A Newbie to your Church drawing group!

Hi everyone, my name is Desiree and Teri was kind enough to let me join the group with my church drawings.  I thought I was the only one that drew in church so its nice to find a group of us that share this bad habit. I often felt guilty for it as sometimes I can actually tone out the message as I concentrate on the people. I find if I take notes as I draw I am helping myself remember the message better now, or at least that is what I am telling myself.  I have quite the collection of drawings but none of them are painted as I have seen here, I just couldn't pull out paints too! WOW how do you guys do it, paint later? Most all of my drawings are in blue ink since that is the pens they hand us as we enter the church and all are sketched on the notes section of the church bulletin. My church is small and intimate and we meet in a high school auditorium right now. Since my daughter is in a wheelchair we are forced to sit in the back, far from most of the people. My view isn't always great but the message is always inspiring and the people wonderful. I will spread out my drawings in several posts as to not bore anyone and hope you enjoy! Thanks Teri!!!!

I love the different things people wear and all the different hair do's!

Welcome Desiree! I love the blue ink - it's a different style than any of us already on here. Mine are always pencil, I never use paint either. It will be fun to see what you bring - thanks for joining us!

Hi Desiree, SO HAPPY you joined us. WELCOME! Love your sketch and can't wait to see more. Well, I love all your art.
I love sketching peope also but then paint them when I get home.
As Patty said she works in pencil and loves people also. Marj, on the other hand does the whole sermon so we get the benefit of seeing her words and people.
Never feel guilty...one artist/pastor told me, "you are using the gift God gave you and honoring him with it" and it made me feel so good and I live by those words.

Thanks Teri and Pak ARt, I will not scan so closely on the new ones I scan. I was trying to clean out my bible so I thought instead of throw them away I will scan them in to save but now I will put in a notebook. They just get so bulky when I don't take them out of my bible. Look forward to seeing everyones posts!
